Eco-Gestures
Reducing energy consumption in the laboratory
Lighting: Turn off lights in unoccupied rooms and make use of natural light whenever possible.
Electronic Devices: Switch off computers, printers, and other equipment at the end of the day. Use power strips with switches to easily cut power to multiple devices.
Heating and Air Conditioning: Set thermostats to moderate temperatures (19°C in winter, 26°C in summer). Keep windows and doors closed to avoid energy loss.
Devices in Standby Mode: Unplug devices when leaving for extended periods to avoid standby energy consumption.
Rational Water Use: Fix water leaks promptly and use water-efficient equipment.
Awareness: Educate and involve teams in adopting energy-saving practices.
