Eco-gestures

Reducing energy consumption in the laboratory

  • Lighting: Turn off the lights in unoccupied rooms and prioritize natural light whenever possible.

  • Electronic Devices: Turn off computers, printers, and other electronic equipment at the end of the day. Use power strips with switches to easily cut off power to multiple devices.

  • Heating and Air Conditioning: Set thermostats to moderate temperatures (19°C in winter, 26°C in summer). Close windows and doors to prevent energy loss.

  • Devices in Standby Mode: Unplug devices when you go on extended leave to avoid energy consumption in standby mode.

  • Rational Water Use: Quickly repair water leaks and use water-efficient equipment.

  • Awareness: Inform and involve all teams about good energy-saving practices.
