Obtaining your amU account
Your amU account is created by the Human Resources Department (amU HR) after your employment contract or agreement has been received and registered.
amU staff
Email your contract to amU HR to initiate the creation of your amU account and professional amU email address.
CNRS staff assigned to the research unit
Administrative data is automatically transferred from CNRS to amU. Processing may take a few days between registration by CNRS and integration into amU information systems, which is required to create your amU account and professional amU email address.
In the event of an unusually long delay, you can email your contract to amU HR to facilitate the processing of your application.
Contacting amU HR
- Contact amU HR by email or telephone.
- Visit the student administration office or administrative department at the Saint-Jérôme Faculty of Sciences campus.
Receiving your amU login credentials
Your login credentials are sent by amU HR to the personal email address provided during the registration process.
Email address format for amU staff and hosted personnel:
firstname.lastname@univ-amu.fr
amU email address format for students:
firstname.lastname@etu.univ-amu.fr
Activating your amU account
Once you have received your login credentials, you must activate your account through the official amU portal:
- Select "Activer mon compte" (Activate my account).
- Enter the requested information (INE student identification number or personal details).
- Set your amU account password.
Using your amU account
Your amU login credentials provide access to Aix-Marseille University's digital services.
- the Aix-Marseille University Digital Workspace (ENT);
- the Eduroam Wi-Fi network on amU campuses and at partner institutions;
- the amU email service;
- mailing lists and institutional information;
- library resources and scientific journals through the BU / Revues section (direct access from the amU network).
Obtaining your amU card
Once your amU account is active, you can request your amU card through the ENT by selecting the Ma Carte amU tile. If the tile is not visible, search for Ma Carte amU using the ENT search bar.
Accessing amU digital services

Locked amU account
If your amU account is locked, account unlocking requests are handled by the Aix-Marseille University IT Department (DIRNUM).
The account holder must submit the request through the DIRNUM contact page, accessible via the "Problème de connexion" (Login problem) button on sesame.univ-amu.fr.
- Contact DIRNUM through the central support portal Facilit'amU, using your personal email address.
Section: Aide - Problèmes de connexion - Contacts - Contact DIRNUM by telephone. You may be asked to send an email along with proof of identity.
- Visit the DIRNUM offices on the Étoile campus with proof of identity.
