We are pleased to welcome you to the 5th Young Investigators Workshop, which is going to take place July 4-6th, in Marseille (France) as a satellite event to ESOC 2013. It is sponsored by the Organic Division of EuCheMS (under the guidance of Prof. Ilan Marek new chair of EuCheMS Organic Division) and organized by the "Institut des Sciences Moléculaires de Marseille" (iSm2) from Aix-Marseille Université. Since 2009, the Young Investigators Workshop aims at bringing together young investigators identified by their respective chemical scholarly organization to be among the rising stars of Organic Chemistry. Originally limited to European participants, this event has recently been extended to young organic chemists coming from North and South America as well as Asia.
The main purpose of the Young Investigators Workshop is to help establishing a network between the leader of tomorrow’s organic chemistry by creating new contacts between them and strengthening existing ones. The limited number of participants creates the perfect environment for scientific exchange and the development of collaborative research programs. Besides this, the participation of scientists working in chemical companies will also help to deepen mutual knowledge between academia and industry and provide a privileged breeding-ground for new collaborations.
